If you are planning to take a Cambridge Exam in December, be sure to read up on how to prepare for it early in the semester.
You are not required to take a preparation course before taking a Cambridge examination, but we recommend that you do. If you have any questions about the topic please contact Anne Baumeister (firstname.lastname@example.org, 0228 77 3577).
B2 First (formerly FCE) is made up of four papers:
- Reading and Use of English (1 hour 15 minutes): Shows that you can understand texts from publications such as books, newspapers and magazines. (Tue 03 Dec)
- Writing (1 hour 20 minutes): Shows that you can write different text types, such as an essay, report or a letter. (Tue 03 Dec)
- Listening (approximately 40 minutes): Shows that you can follow a range of spoken materials, such as news and everyday conversations. (Tue 03 Dec)
- Speaking (14 minutes per pair of candidates): Shows that you can communicate effectively in face-to-face situations. You will take the Speaking test with one or two other candidates. (Fri 06 Dec)
