Indian cuisine has an extensive and varied repertoire, influenced by all the regions of this vast sub-continent. There is a lot more to Indian food than you can find in the average Indian restaurant over here. In our course you will learn how to prepare Tandoori chicken, meat in coconut milk, various vegetables cooked with seeds and spices, as well as different types of Pakoras and the famous Lassi drink. We will also explore fusion food by learning about the origin and preparation of Balti dishes. We will learn different cooking techniques and experience a variety of exciting tastes. Please pay the total costs for cooking ingredients of 18 EUR (9 EUR per person / evening) at the first lesson directly to your teacher. We cook in the new teaching kitchen with modern induction hobs. Please bring 2 or 3 storage boxes to keep any leftovers, and any drinks that you might wish to have. The course will be conducted in English, giving you the opportunity to enhance your cooking and language skills at the same time. The course is suitable for anyone with a level A2/B1 in English.

IMPORTANT (!) to combat the Corona pandemic:
For cooking classes, it can be stated that infection via food is currently unknown.
In principle, cooking courses can take place. When cooking, we recommend wearing a mouth and nose protector and disposable gloves. Disposable gloves are provided by the VHS Bonn. Wearing gloves does not replace thorough mobile phone hygiene. For eating together, a minimum distance of 1.5 metres is observed.
