Based on the practice of mindful presence "self-compassion" has become a trend among methods of meditation for self-care and therapeutical indications.
In this evening presentation it will be shown how self-compassion can be cultivated and trained, and how this can improve altruistic attitudes and actions. These meditations have their roots in Buddhist practice but can be adopted by anyone open to mindfulness-based mental and emotional exercises.
Yesche U. Regel has been widely teaching meditation and spiritual philosophy for the last 25 years. Before that he has been a Buddhist monastic for many years contributing to the establishment of meditation centers in the Köln-Bonn area.
