Michelle Ihenacho was born and raised 35 km outside of Washington, DC, USA. She also spent several years of her childhood in her father’s homeland of Nigeria. Although she received her bachelor's degree in Journalism, she chose to return to school and transition to teaching English after volunteering with a newly immigrated family from Afghanistan. After completing her studies, what was supposed to be a one-year experience in Germany as a “stranger in a strange land” has now become a 15-year adventure - and counting - with a husband and children in tow. Michelle enjoys hiking, cooking/baking, sewing (although she’s quite the amateur), and making new connections.
