Carla Jackson was born in London, England but brought up on the beautiful Channel Island of Guernsey, the place she still considers her second home. She left to study German and Law at the University of Surrey, where she completed her BSc and added an MA in Translation, during which she also taught on the undergraduate courses.
Following her studies Carla relocated to Germany and established herself as a freelance translator, a job she still loves for its variety and flexibility - and the fact that it allows her to return to enjoy Guernsey’s cliff paths and sea air on a regular basis! Her interests include reading, travelling and music.
